Hi! We decided that since we are rolling out some new exciting products for 2016 why not throw in a blog so you can keep up? Who am I? I am Merriweather Mulé, and my mother is Leslie Hollaway. We are ChezBlanc. You can see more about us here. Anywho, thank you for tuning in and please check back weekly!
Now let's get down to business....
Mom, Camille (my 4 month old) and I went to NYC this week to the DG Fabric Show. We found new fabrics and laces, and were quite inspired! Did I mention it was freezing? Camille had her fill of NYC weather and was delighted to get home to 50 degrees in Charleston. Here is Camille dressed down for the warm 35 degree day.
We barely escaped the city in time before Jonas the Blizzard touched down. And I mean barely. It wouldn't have been so iffy, but Thursday afternoon we gave ourselves 2 whole hours to get to JFK. Well, Uber kindly took the longest way possible so after an hour and a half in the car, I stumbled into the airport carsick and literally about to pee in my pants dragging the world's most over-stuffed diaper bag, baby, stroller, two massive suitcases and my mother. (Okay she can walk herself but I'm dramatic.) The JetBlue check-in attendant tells us our plane has already left. WITHOUT ME? But, we have 30 minutes to spare! No, we called you in August to tell you that your flight was moved up from 4:20 to 3:50pm. Um, I was very pregnant in August, hence I don't remember anything from that month. Well, we also sent you an email. Oh.
Alas, we spent the night in Jamaica, NY and all 3 of us flew out at 7am the next morning by the grace of God. This time we arrive at the check-in counter of JetBlue all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, ready to get home....until Mom realizes she can't find her license. SH*T . The 200 thousand people in JFK, all the JetBlue employees and Camille watched as we dumped out everything in her suitcase, purse, pockets, (bras and underwear flying), but the license could not be found. We even checked the pockets of the pants we both clearly remembered her wearing the day before. Well, we were very lucky as she got through security by showing every credit card and prescription bottle. (God bless prescription drugs)..
She was even able to save a bag that I apparently just walked off without during security check. Anyways, we made it home. And, that afternoon she found the license in the pants that she actually wore the day before. I've decided we will all begin taking fish oil supplements.
